Police tear gas, arrest pro-Palestine students attempting encampment at University of South Florida

Police deployed tear gas Tuesday afternoon against a circle of University of South Florida students attempting to set up a pro-Palestine encampment on their campus, their second time trying in two days. As police began arresting the protesters who had attempted to hold the line, they threatened press with arrest as well. “You’re about to go too!” they told News2Share contributor David Decker. “Leave!” After getting tear gassed and witnessing their friends be arrested, other pro-Palestine activists walked gear away from the scene at the the University of South Florida, as other students took graduation photos nearby.
